Hello

My name is Lim Zi Liang. I’m a Level Designer who deeply value collaboration between developers to make the game engaging and more polish for the long run. I also strongly believe that by doing so I’m able to solve creative challenges and improve myself as a developer by learning from each other’s experience.

I was working at Virtuos Kuala Lumpur as a Junior Level Designer and an intern at Spacepup Entertainment as a Game Design Intern.

A little about myself

My interest within the world of game development when I first played Final Fantasy 10, my first ever game where I’m fascinated on how the game takes its time for world building by allowing interactions with the world and seeing how characters react with one another through dialogues. Since then ever since I have completed a world focus game and story heavy game, I would be curious about what has happened behind the scenes from developers and voice actor’s perspective on the games. Hence, I’m always so interested in narrative design and level design in hope to replicate the feeling I felt into the game projects I’m involved in. Not only that, I am always fascinated by how people with different roles can work together and deliver the game product to people around the world.

 

​In terms of working as a team, I am an easy going person and I'll try to make everyone feel comfortable when hanging out with me or working with me. When I am given a task, I'm the kind person that will try to finish the task as soon as possible especially in group work so that I would not cost any trouble for my group mates. However my biggest flaw is that by pushing work as fast as I can, I tend to make mistakes and end up having to redo my part again.
